With Halloween just around the corner, bringing back the films we loved as youngins seems important. Here are five films Fantasy-filled and ready to bring out the best of our memories.

My Thoughts:
This magical adventure is a fun ride. I mean who doesn’t love seeing Robert De Niro in Pirate drag?

bigfish Big Fish (2003)

Ewan McGregor (Star Wars), Jessica Lange (American Horror Story), Helena Bonham Carter (Fight Club)

Summary:
 A frustrated son tries to determine the fact from fiction in his dying father’s life.
My Thoughts:
In true Tim Burton fashion, this movie is just pure magic. I suggest you check it out if you have never had the chance. This movie is quite possibly my favorite Burton movie ever!

My Thoughts:
Possibly the best Peter Pan rendition EVER. Robin Williams lights up the screen in this 90’s classic. Check it out, or walk the plank!

 princessbride The Princess Bride (1987)

My Thoughts:
 

Pirates, giants, princesses, and am evil prince. What more do you need? This movie was EVERYTHING to me as a child. If you don’t already love this movie, you will now.


 neverending The NeverEnding Story (1984)

Summary:
Bastian is a young boy who lives a dreary life being tormented by school bullies. On one such occasion he escapes into a book shop where the old proprietor reveals an ancient story-book to him, which he is warned can be dangerous. Shortly after, he “borrows” the book and begins to read it in the school attic where he is drawn into the mythical land of Fantasia, which desperately needs a hero to save it from destruction.
My Thoughts:
This is by-far, the BEST fantasy movie ever made, and probably will always be. I am pretty sure I will be in my 80’s and still crying like a wee little lass. This movie is everything and more. If you get the chance to r-watch this classic, you need to jump on it. NOW!
